November 2009

With all the delays because of the constant rain in October, the siding  work continued into November. The main part of the building structure was completed on November 13th.

Prior to the track work south of the building starting, trees that were donated in the former park area had to be relocated. The moving of the trees was completed with the assistance of Irwin Foster Inc.

The balance of the temporary section of Track N22 is removed. Prior to it's rebuilding, the remaining section of old Track N20 is removed to enable the grading of the base of the south end of the yard.

The contracts for the electrical, plumbing, heating, framing, site services and overhead doors were signed. These trades will be starting immediately.
The foundation was backfilled prior the underground plumbing rough-in being completed. While we waited for a delivery of gravel we completed some site cleanup along the passenger platform.

The last item to be worked on in November was the water, phone and sanitary service connections from the building to the street. The work commenced early in the morning of November 30th by Murray J. Esbaugh Contracting Ltd.. Fortunately our neighbour, Artefacts Salvage & Design, with whom we share the parking lot, was closed this day. This allowed us to undertake this work without interfering with their customers.
